Configure PLM Teamcenter Accounts

Overview

You can configure your accounts in SnapLogic using the Designer or Manager. The PLM Teamcenter Snap Pack offers three account types. Two of them use the Teamcenter adapter that is embedded in the Snap Pack and connect to the Teamcenter web tier directly; the third connects through a separately deployed ECS Teamcenter adapter API.

Teamcenter Account Connects to the Teamcenter web tier with a Teamcenter user name and either a password or a token. Use this account for most deployments.
Teamcenter SSO Account Connects to the Teamcenter web tier with a JSON Web Token (JWT) that your identity provider issues. Use this account when your users authenticate through single sign-on, the On-Behalf-Of flow, or a Teamcenter Security Services (TcSS) gateway.
Teamcenter Adapter Account Connects through a separately deployed ECS Teamcenter adapter API. Use this account when the adapter runs outside the Snaplex, for example because it serves several PLM systems or several clients.

Snap-account compatibility

Every Snap in the PLM Teamcenter Snap Pack works with all three account types. You can therefore switch a pipeline from one authentication method to another by changing only the account that the Snaps reference.
