Discovery Hub

Discover and connect to published MCP Servers across your organization.

Discovery Hub is a dedicated portal where developers find governed MCP Servers that your organization has published, and copy ready-to-use connection configuration for their AI client of choice. Instead of rebuilding an integration that already exists elsewhere in your organization, browse the catalog and connect in a few steps.

Discovery Hub is read-only with respect to MCP Server assets: it doesn't create, edit, or store credentials for any server. MCP Servers are built, tested, and published from SnapLogic Manager; Discovery Hub is where the rest of your organization finds and connects to them.

Who uses Discovery Hub

  • Agent developers: Building an AI agent or prompt workflow and need tools to connect to enterprise backends. Browse the catalog instead of filing a ticket or searching code repositories.
  • MCP Server authors: Have built, tested, and enabled an MCP Server in SnapLogic Designer or Manager and want to make it discoverable for team or company-wide reuse.
  • Environment (Org) admins: Configure enterprise branding and the portal's custom URL.

How Discovery Hub relates to other SnapLogic features

  • SnapLogic Manager: MCP Servers are created, edited, enabled, and published from Manager. Discovery Hub surfaces what's already published there — it isn't a separate place to build servers. See Manage MCP Server Assets.
  • APIM 3.0 Developer Portal: Not to be confused with Discovery Hub — the APIM 3.0 Developer Portal catalogs APIs, Proxies, and Services. See Manage the APIM 3.0 Developer Portal.
  • Agent Visualizer: Discovery Hub helps you find and connect to a server before you build or run an agent pipeline. It does not show runtime execution data — for that, see Agent Visualizer.
Note: A future iteration expands Discovery Hub's catalog to include APIM business services, subscriptions, applications, and API keys. In this release, Discovery Hub catalogs MCP Servers only.

Prerequisites and access

Discovery Hub is available to organizations with the MCP Server subscription. If your organization doesn't have MCP Server enabled, Discovery Hub is not visible.

Role Can do
Environment (Org) admin Configure the portal's custom URL and branding in Admin Manager.
MCP Server Owner / Full Access User Publish or unpublish a server from Manager.
Org / Discovery Hub members Sign in, search the catalog, view server details, and copy connection configuration.

Limitations

  • Discovery only, no credentials stored: Discovery Hub never holds or manages client credentials. Authentication is negotiated directly between the AI client and the MCP server at connect time, according to the server's configured authentication policy: OAuth 2.1, API token, or no authentication.
  • No pre-connection tool inspection: Tool definitions aren't rendered in Discovery Hub, because tools are resolved dynamically. An AI agent discovers available tools automatically by calling tools/list after connecting.
  • Sign-in required: Anonymous catalog browsing isn't available in this release.
