Update Event

Overview

The Update Event Snap updates a calendar event in Exchange Online.



  • This is a Write-type Snap.
  • Works in Ultra Tasks when the Batch size is set to 1.

Prerequisites

  • Valid Exchange Online tenant and associated site.
  • Valid Azure application with all the required API permissions.

Input

This Snap has at most one document input view.

Requires the Existing Event ID to identify the event.

This Snap has at most one document output view.

Specify a unique name for the Snap. Modify this to be more appropriate, especially if more than one of the same Snaps is in the pipeline.

User/Shared MailBox

Specify the mailbox/account for which you want to update the event. If not provided, then the mailbox associated to the account is used.

Specify the name of a calendar.

Specify the ID of the existing event to be updated.

Specify a title for the event that you are updating.

Specify the attendees to send an invite for the event.

Start Time

Integer/Expression

Specify the start time of the event.

You can also specify time zone using 2020-09-29T04:18:00.000+0530 and if UTC time zone using 2020-09-29T04:18:00.000+0000.

End Time

Integer/Expression

Specify the end time of the event.

You can also specify time zone using 2020-09-29T04:18:00.000+0530 and if UTC time zone using 2020-09-29T04:18:00.000+0000.

Example: 2020-09-30T03:19:00.000

Repeat Interval

Dropdown list

Specify the repeat interval after which a recurring event will be automatically created. The options are:

  • NONE
  • DAILY
  • WEEKLY
  • MONTHLY
  • YEARLY

Default value: NONE

Location

String/Expression

Specify the location of the event.

Example: Meeting Room

Event Description

String/Expression

Specify a detailed description briefing about the event.

Example: Modifying to suit the schedule

Number Of Retries

Integer/Expression

Specify the maximum number of attempts to be made to receive a response. The request is terminated if the attempts do not result in a response.

Default value: 0

Example: 4

Retry Intervals (seconds)

Integer/Expression

Specify the time interval between two successive retry requests. A retry happens only when the previous attempt resulted in an exception.

Default value: 1

Example: 21

Snap execution

Dropdown list
Choose one of the three modes in which the Snap executes. Available options are:
  • Validate & Execute. Performs limited execution of the Snap and generates a data preview during pipeline validation. Subsequently, performs full execution of the Snap (unlimited records) during pipeline runtime.
  • Execute only. Performs full execution of the Snap during pipeline execution without generating preview data.
  • Disabled. Disables the Snap and all Snaps that are downstream from it.

Troubleshooting

Error Cause Resolution
Event ID is required field Event ID field is null or empty. Ensure you provide the correct event ID to identify the event to modify.
