Pipeline and Snap basics
SnapLogic Snaps are modular collections of integration components built for specific applications or data sources. Snaps aid both business users and developers from having to handle much of the complexities in the underlying application, data model, and service. A Snap Pack contains a set of related Snaps. The Snaps catalog on the left side of Designer lists Snap Packs and Snaps. Core Snaps are available in all environments. Premium Snaps are available by subscription. You can request a free trial for Snaps that are of interest. Learn more about designing pipelines.
Snap configuration includes an Account tab that stores the credentials and configuration required to connect to your endpoints, such as databases and file systems. Any Snap that communicates with an external endpoint needs an authenticated account to access endpoint resources.
You don't need to create a pipeline from a blank slate. The Public pattern library offers a variety of templates for common use cases. In an environment with a SnapGPT subscription, you can ask SnapGPT to generate a starter pipeline or help with data mapping and expressions.
