Monitor and maintain Snaplexes

The following table describes how to accomplish common tasks related to Snaplexes:

Task Monitor
View the active Snaplexes Click Infrastructure from the left navigation pane to open the System overview.
View node metrics Open the Metrics page: Select a Snaplex or a node.
Stop, restart, or put a Snaplex or node in maintenance mode Click Infrastructure from the left navigation pane to open the System overview: From the Snaplex or node list view, hover on the right side of the row and click the gear icon.

From the:

View a node's external IP address

The external IP address is in the Additional details tab on the Node details panel. From the Infrastructure graph or list view, click a node to view the details panel. Refer to Additional details tab for a screenshot.

View a node's active threads Find a graph of active threads on the Metrics page. Refer to Graph descriptions for more details.
View a node's file descriptors Find a graph of open file descriptors on the Metrics page. The graph presents usage as a percentage.

To calculate the absolute value, take the maximum file descriptors multiplied by (file descriptor utilization percentage divided by 100). Expressed as a formula: Absolute Value = Max_File_Descriptors * (File_Descriptor_Utilization_percent / 100).
