Import a Service version from a specification

With an existing Service version open, you can create a new version from scratch, duplicate a version, or import a version. All save the version in the parent Service folder and are available from the Edit version details button:

  • New version (from scratch): Creates a version with no endpoints or configuration from the original.
  • Duplicate current version: Creates a version with all endpoints and configuration (except subscription settings) from the original version.
  • Import new version: Creates a version with endpoints and basic configuration generated from the imported specification.

To import a Service version from a spec:

  1. From the Services Catalog, navigate to the Service.
  2. Open an existing Service version.
  3. Click the Edit version details dropdown and select Import new version:

  4. Choose Choose file and navigate to a local file or click Link and supply a URL.
  5. Click Create.
    The new Service version is available to edit.
