Compare pipelines

You can compare pipelines across projects and project spaces and two versions of the same pipeline.

You must have the required permissions to view the pipelines being compared.

The following are not considered for comparing pipelines:

  • The Snap's label (name).

  • The visual position of Snaps on the canvas.

  • A Snap that exists in one pipeline but not the other is treated as deleted.

  • An unmatched Snap is compared by its type only.

  1. On the pipeline designer, click the compare icon . The Choose Compare Pipeline dialog box displays.

  2. Select the pipelines you want to compare from Choose the project for target pipelineand Choose pipeline to compare to.

  3. Click Compare button.
The Compare tab appears with the following details:

  • Added: Snaps present in one pipeline but missing in the other.
  • Deleted: Snaps removed from one pipeline.
  • Similar: Showing the Snaps of the same type with differing properties..
  • Identical: Snaps that are completely unchanged.
