Frequently asked questions
Find answers to frequently asked questions about:
Getting started
- How can I get started? Are there tutorials or example pipelines?
These resources can help you quickly get up to speed with the SnapLogic Platform:
- The Create your first pipeline tutorial.
- SnapGPT can generate a pipeline from your text prompt.
- The Patterns catalog offers templates for frequently used pipeline patterns.
- The documentation reference topics for Snap Packs include examples, such as those for the NetSuite Rest Snap Pack.
- AutoSync automatically creates the underlying pipelines for ingesting data into a target from multiple sources.
- What browsers do you support?
We currently support the following browser versions:
- Google Chrome 128 or later
- Microsoft Edge 128 or later
- Mozilla Firefox 130 or later
- What devices do you support?
For the user interface, only desktop devices are fully supported. Touch screens, tablets, and mobile devices aren't supported.
- How frequently is the SnapLogic Platform updated?
We have monthly and quarterly releases. Refer to The release calendar for more details and the exact dates.
- Can I add other users from my organization?
Each environment has one or more administrators who can add new users. Learn more.
Connectivity
- What databases do you support?
Refer to the Data Snaps page on the legacy site and Data Snaps on this site for the list of supported database Snap Packs.
- Which endpoints do you support?
SnapLogic offers over 800 pre-built Snaps that connect to applications, cloud file systems, databases, and data warehouses. For pipelines created in Designer, refer to the list of Snaps in the new and old documentation sites. For AutoSync data pipelines, refer to Supported endpoints.
- How can an integration connect to an on-premises data source?
In one of the following ways:
- If necessary, add SnapLogic IP addresses to the endpoint's allowlist.
- Deploy a self-managed Snaplex on your infrastructure. Learn more.
Data storage
- Where is my data stored?
SnapLogic doesn't store your data. Your endpoints store your data. However, SnapLogic does provide a limited amount of storage in the SLFS (SnapLogic File System, also known as
sldb
). - What can I use SLFS for?
You can upload static JAR files, expression library files, JDBC drivers, and parameter files to SLFS to use during pipeline development. These are stored as File assets.
- What are the data limits?
Files uploaded to the SLFS have a 100MB per file limit. There are limits on the number of concurrent triggered pipelines and total triggered pipelines per day, these limits vary based on the size and number of Snaplexes. There are no limits currently on non-triggered pipeline executions.
Pipelines and data pipelines
- How do I schedule an integration?
To schedule a pipeline created in Designer, create a Task. AutoSync data pipeline definitions include an optional schedule.
- How can I tell which integrations are running or have run?
Open the Monitor Execution overview.
- How do I get data into a pipeline?
Most data comes from files, applications, or databases. You provide the credentials and configuration for the Snaps and pipelines to connect to your endpoints.
- Can I execute a pipeline on demand?
In Designer, click the Run Pipeline button in the toolbar. While a pipeline is running, you can click the stop button to stop execution of the pipeline. In AutoSync, open the options menu and click Run now.
- Can I open multiple pipelines simultaneously?
In Designer, each pipeline opens in a separate tab. You can switch back and forth without closing tabs.
- Can I receive notifications for pipeline execution?
Yes, you can configure notifications in one of the following ways:
- When you create a Task to execute a pipeline created in Designer, add the email addresses to notify.
- In AutoSync, enable notifications for all of your data pipelines in one place.
