Update a Company

Prerequisites: You must have access to HubSpot and a valid HubSpot Account (OAuth or Private App).

This pipeline demonstrates how to update an existing company in the HubSpot instance using the HubSpot Update Snap.

  1. Configure the JSON Generator Snap to create a JSON file containing the entity's updated details such as country, founded_year, and address.

    Alternatively, you can use CSV (CSV Generator) or XML (XML Generator). You can also use a File Reader Snap if you already have a file with the company details.

  2. Configure the Mapper Snap to map the fields from the JSON Generator output to the corresponding fields in HubSpot.

    Upon execution, the JSON input fields are mapped to the HubSpot entity fields:

  3. Configure the HubSpot Update Snap with the Company entity and Update a company action.

  4. Validate the pipeline. On validation, the HubSpot Update Snap updates the company with the specified details and displays the results in the output preview.

  5. Configure the JSON Formatter and File Writer Snaps to write the output to a local file for record-keeping.

To successfully reuse pipelines:

  1. Download and import the pipeline into SnapLogic.
  2. Configure Snap accounts as applicable.
  3. Provide pipeline parameters as applicable.
