An overview of Snaps catalog

The Snaps catalog lists and organizes Snaps—modular, reusable components of integration pipelines. As the building blocks of a pipeline, each Snap performs a single function, such as read, write, or transform data.

Important:
  • The Snap catalog only shows those Snaps for which your Org has purchased licenses. To add additional Snap Packs, please contact the SnapLogic CSM.
  • The Snap Trial feature lets you view and explore the latest Snaps available on the SnapLogic Platform. To request a subscription to this feature, contact SnapLogic CSM.

Key features

  • Comprehensive library: Features a collection of pre-built Snaps designed for a variety of systems, including databases like MySQL and Oracle, cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure, applications including Salesforce and Workday, as well as protocols like REST, SOAP, and FTP.
  • Categorization: Snaps are organized based on their functionality, which includes categories such as data transformation, application integration, and analytics.
  • Ease of use: Business users can leverage Snaps to quickly design integration workflows without writing custom code.
  • Updates and additions: The Snap catalog is regularly updated to include new Snaps or enhancements to existing ones, keeping it aligned with evolving business needs.
  • Custom Snaps: In addition to pre-built Snaps, SnapLogic allows organizations to create and deploy custom Snaps for specific requirements.

Search Snaps

  1. Click Snaps on the Asset Palette to display the Snap catalog.
  2. Search for the Snaps by entering a search term in the Search Snaps field. The result displays the matching Snaps. You can sort your search results by Name (for example, File Reader, Join, Mapper), Snap Pack (for example, SAP Snap Pack), and Snap type (Read, Parse, Transform, Flow, Format, Write).
  3. Drag and drop a Snap onto the Canvas.

Try out the Snaps Trial feature

The Snap Trial feature gives pipeline designers the option to view and explore all the available Snaps Packs on the SnapLogic Platform. Contact SnapLogic CSM to request a subscription to this feature. With the Snap Trials enabled, the Snap catalog includes a View Premium Snap Packs checkbox to view all the latest Snaps alphabetically.

Each pipeline designer can choose the Snap Packs displayed in the catalog. Snap Packs that are not currently subscribed have a link to request a free trial.

  • Provides the ability to try and evaluate the latest Snaps and Snap Packs that have been integrated into the SnapLogic Platform.
  • Enables you to discover more features added to the SnapLogic Platform and align those with your business use cases.

View all Snap Packs and Request trials

With the Snap Trials feature enabled in an environment, to explore the new Snap Packs or Snaps, click the Request trial link to send an email to SnapLogic CSM requesting a free trial.

  1. Log in to SnapLogic Designer to see the View Premium Snap Packs checkbox.

  2. After the Trial is enabled, you can view the Snap Packs and Snaps in the catalog similar to existing Snaps and try our their functionality. To Unsubscribe or to extend the trial period contact the SnapLogic CSM.
